One of the things that separates Maui from the other Hawaiian islands is the variety of scenery (and climates) to be found here. From cool and misty upcountry meadows (like the one pictured above) to the hot beaches of South Maui; from the blustery chill of Kapalua, to the significant warmth of Lahaina just down the road; from the dry lava fields of Makena, to the lush taro fields of Ke'anae; from the vibrant green of the Kahalewai mountains, to the dusty gravel of Haleakala; from the one-store town of Kaupo, to the hustle and bustle of Kahului. If the Hawaiian islands were a collection of albums...Maui would be the Greatest Hits.
